When several students with the quest of getting knowledge come together they form a class. Learning can be explained as the act of seeing and hearing new ideas and implementing them. The learning process that every child applies is unique and different from the rest of the children. The children who learn by observation use the visual style of learning. When teaching this kind of student one should use pictures, diagrams, demonstrations, films to present the idea. a classroom may have students who use the auditory style of learning and these type of student like listen a lot. The teacher can use his or her own spoken words, when speaking directly to this kind of students, or can use specific sound that will enable the student to learn. Also we have the learner who uses tactile learning style, they tend to learn by touching, doing practically what they have been taught. Teaching becomes a difficult task when the teacher has the student with the different learning style in the same classroom. The teacher can do it by using the daily routine to teach, for instance in science the teachers can use the washing of hands after visiting the washroom and the students will connect. Going to school at a particular time is something that the student does every day, and the teacher can use it when teaching about time in a math class.

A teacher should know what the student think and prefer as per the lesson been taught and the teacher can do it by engaging the students. Engagement involves grouping the students, and before grouping, the student the teacher should know the learning style of every student to have balance groups. After grouping them the teacher gives them tasks to tackle together as a group. The problem given to each group should ensure that there is an interaction between the group members. The teacher can ensure the student is engaged by giving different homework to work on. The homework should be based on the child’s learning style and should be based on the lesson the teacher was teaching. Giving the student assignment on the topic which the teacher was teaching will make the student apply what they have learned.
