How Safe Is Eliquid And Is It Effective In Cutting The Smoking Habit?
The increase in the number of electronic cigarettes among the members of the general public has caused different debates among the experts where they seek to determine whether the habit is safe or can be considered hazardous. However in the recent times the attention has turned to the nicotine-laden fluid used a flavor where the focus is on the effectiveness of the fluid. There are two groups who argue about the safety of the eliquids and its effect on the human bodies where one group argue that they are more harmful than the cigarettes. Another group, however, disputes the effects of the e-liquid on the human body arguing that it is safe since no effects have so far been documented thus deeming their use safe.
Between the two groups and their basis of argument there is truth concerning the e-liquid and the effects of using the liquid to the human body. However one should note that there is nothing that can term to be 100 percent safe especially for human consumption since even clean water which is purified can be a cause of death. The main consideration, therefore, is the level of safety that any product that one intends to use and its probable harm when compared to the other similar products that one can use. The use of eliquids is not an exclusion as it cannot be proved to be 100 percent safe but can be compared with cigarettes as many people are replacing the use of cigarettes with the eliquids. Since the body was designed to inhale oxygen, any other product when inhaled will have an effect on the normal functioning of the body. To determine whether the use of eliquids we determine the components that are used to manufacture eliquids since not many people are aware of them.
One of the components of the e-liquid is nicotine which is a highly addictive stimulant which when used in excess it may prove to be fatal. Nicotine causes vasoconstriction thus inducing tingling sensations, headaches, and blood circulation problems such as high blood pressure. However nicotine can help fight depression, improve concentration and is recommended for patients who suffer from different brain disorders such as ADHD. The second component used in making e-liquid is a glycerol compound mostly the propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin which is added to create the illusion of smoke. Manufacturers also include flavors to the eliquids mainly the food flavors. Some brands also contain distilled water which is added to make them wick while others contain vodka which aims at improving throat hit.
